I wouldn't go that far. It's perfectly natural to have reservations about an inexperienced manager and two games don't dispel that. But you're right that he's made a brilliant start and long may it continue!
Yeah I donít think we should get too carried away - I think tactics Tim started well.

I have been impressed so far, we seem a bit more focused and streetwise and itís great to see the midfield functioning better

Think so of the underlying issues are still there - we not getting anywhere near enough from our summer intake - hopefully that will start to come soon.

If he manages 9 points out of next 3 games he will win me over.

Those of us who found his appointment uninspiring are starting to look silly.
No not really. Let's wait 10 games and I hope I am put in a position to feel ashamed.

7 points and I'll be taking orders for Stevie G cardboard cutouts.

Well done Stevie G.
Fucking hell!

It sounds ridiculous. Nobody ever said Ronnie S, or Joey V, or Remi G, or Johnny G, or Stevie B, or even Scotty M.

Tsk, also clearly not familiar with the NC State Wolfpack's famous 1983 win in the NCAA National Championships led by Jimmy V.

So long as he secures clean sheets, we have to have some standards

MOTD interview. 5 'listens' in two minutes haha.

Interesting stat that in our last two matches we have conceeded the fewest shots on our goal this season.

If you think losing 2-1 at home to Stoke and 1-0 away to Newcastle as starting well?

That was noticeable yesterday. I'm not sure if it's a willingness to concede possession in areas that can't hurt us in order to retain a better defensive shape, or the shape itself (I haven't seen either game live, so it's hard to tell), but it is very clear that we're giving away fewer 'soft' chances.

It'll be interesting to see how we fare on Wednesday against a side well-known for creating bucket-loads of chances.

Perhaps it was reference to beating Leicester in the cup, but that was probably because he was still in the stand, far from the touchline.

Pretty much as I expected so far in that he is bringing a hard nosed proffesionalism to the squad. Whatever else I expect us to be very competitive under him.
We will loose games but I would be surprised if that turns into extended winless runs.

Very impressed so far, but too early to say he's gonna be a success. Apparently first Villa manager since Gregory in 98 to win his first 2 games.

The shape has changed, we defend and attack as a team and are (so far) not reliant on a few individuals to go after the opposition.
You can see everyone fall into pre-defined positions when we lose the ball, allowing possession to the other team in areas that shouldn't harm us, and then defend as a group when they are in sniffing distance of our goal.
How this will fare against the better teams, time will tell, especially in 2 out of the next 3 games.
