Best Centre back pair (while Mings is injured)
« on: December 12, 2019, 11:53:46 AM »
Decide and vote who you think is the best central defensive pair ,  as Tyrone Mings is to miss several games.

At this moment it's reported it's at least the 3 matches  against Sheff U, Liverpool EFL Cup and Southampton. Maybe  Norwich and Watford.

Hause and Engels for me. Hause is a better centre-half than Konsa from what I've seen and he's naturally left-sided. Think he's faster than Konsa too and Engels lacks pace.

When I first saw the thread title at first glance I overlooked the bit in brackets and I thought it was a nostalgic one. I was going to go for Evans & McNaught or McGrath & Teale. If only.

I think 3 at the back is the best option without Mings.
Konsa Engels Hause
We're letting in far too many shots so we need to find a way to tighten up without going full Bruceball

Hause and Engels for me too.

Konsa has been found wanting on a few crosses, particularly against Liverpool.  Hause is naturally left sided and deserves his chance.

Same. That looks like a proper centre back pairing to me. Appreciate konsa and mings are better footballers but both of them make me shit bricks at least three times a game.

Can't we play all three? Konsa, Hause and Engels.
