We are staying up.....

Very harsh on Brighton ultimately.

Still we desperately need this with our next 3 games so don't really care.

We should have had a penalty and they should have been down to 9. Bollocks to harsh, they and the officials got exactly what they deserved.

11th in live table, one point off 7th.

We needed that with Liverpool and Man. City upcoming.
Liverpool are long overdue a beating.

I was impressed by how they played with 10 men. Some better finishing and they'd have had a second at some stage. That's how I'd like to see us play next time we go down to 10 rather than go into panic stations like at Palace.

Anyway I think today was finally a game where the red changed the momentum of the game as our start was very poor and we then had a good spell up to half time.

Overall the less said about the second half until the 94th minute the better. Hardly any corners or shots on target.

11th in the table only 3 points from a relegation spot but only one point behind Spurs in 7th - Christ it's tight.

Edit Oops didn't see Soccer HQ's post first, apologies - great minds and all that ;-)

Only two wins off what we managed in 15/16 now.

Out of all of our fixtures this season, THAT is the one I want us to win more than any other. I'D LOVE IT IF WE BEAT THEM..... LOVE IT*!!

*especially, if it leads to a spectacular collapse of form and the coveted League Title they are crying out for!  ;)

The red card and late goal papered over more than a few cracks and the latter was a get out of jail card.  That said, robbed by VAR again.

Food for thought - in the "Justice League" (one where we hadn't been royally fucked by refs/VAR at Palace and Arsenal) we'd actually be 5th.  Without ever really looking convincing apart from Norwich.

Oh and AEG was pish.

Going to need 38-40 points to stay up this season, at least Watford didn't win.

Man. United going to be in relegation zone by next Sunday by looks of things which sums up the crazy nature of the season so far.

A refreshing change to be on the right end of last minute winner. A win is a win, but we need to be better by the sounds of things.

VAR is every bit the calamitous fuck up many of us knew it would be.

Dean needs to address how we play against 10 men, it almost seems psychcological now.

You can thank me for the win, was due to go over but missed my flight this morning.

Delighted with the win, not so much with the performance. Positives were Jack, Nakamba, Trez when he came on did alright. However, El Ghazi was really poor, and up to the goal so was targett, but obviously won't hammer him too much after grabbing the winner.

We've played better and lost.  I'll take the points.  Grealish was immense, McGinn and Guilbert ok.  Trez looked lively when he came on.  The rest were pretty dreadful, particularly defensively.  Lots to work on but pressure off for the next couple anyway, felt like we were complacent coming into this for some reason.

Phew! I had a bad feeling about today, so I'm delighted we managed to turn it around & stuck a cheeky winner in at the death. I'm now looking forward to having Sunday afternoon aperitifs at my local: where I can be magnanimous in victory - rather than the other thing. Lovely.
