How was Davis' turn and shot just before the goal?  Sounded immense.

A refreshing change to be on the right end of last minute winner. A win is a win, but we need to be better by the sounds of things.

VAR is every bit the calamitous fuck up many of us knew it would be.

Dean needs to address how we play against 10 men, it almost seems psychcological now.

.....or maybe after today it won’t be.

Teams that win leagues get results like that despite playing like a bunch of strangers for most of the game and an abominable performance by the ref  ref and his chum VAR.

We may not have deserved to win, but equally in other fixtures we didn't get the result that our performances deserve.

Over the season these things even themselves out. In previous games this season, we've dropped 8 points by giving goals away in the last 15 minutes.

We won today because we kept going right to the last minute.

We need to keep doing this - it's at the end of games that defences tire, lose concentration and concede.

Top teams take advantage of this score and win.

Let's start to play like them.

Much needed result however the performance was again very worrying . Grealish and Heaton aside, I'm not sure another player had a performance higher than a 6. Tactically a complete mess again, set up of our midfield is all wrong. Davis looks very lively, defenders can't compete with his power.

Great run and finish from Targett. To be honest I thought he had a poor game defensively and in attack, so good for him to contribute in that way.

Grealish was outstanding throughout.

Great result, well done Matt Targett, think he could turn out to be a good buy. Above Man United in the league, when was the last time that happened, 1981?

Ratter turgid today. At half time the way we finished the 1st half scoring two good goals I thought we’d win the game comfortably.

No one really stood out as poor to be honest. But great that we keep going and scored a late late winner.

A really poor display to be honest, but brilliant to nick it with almost the last kick of the match. Jack was great in front of the watching Southgate, but at times tried to do too much.

Brighton played well, and were the better team in the first half until the sending off. Maupay is an excellent little player.

We should have killed it off long before we did, but as we did against West Ham made heavy weather of it. El Ghazi wants shooting for that miss. Trezeguet should be embarrassed to keep using that nickname. Grealish, McGinn and Mings are different class though, a better, more likeable trio I’m not sure we’ve ever had.

We didn’t play well enough today. Too predictable, too open when exposed on the counter. We struggled again to break down 10 men. But we won. And in a long hard season I’ll accept the points and forget how we got them. And we need wins like this every bit as the one we got last time out. Staying up needs a bit of luck and we had our fair share today. And we had plenty of shit go against us too. 3 points and feeling a bit better about life right now. 4 huge games now. A cup win and 4 league points would be great.

Doesn't really matter this early but we've been above them a number of times since then.
