Would've kept Trez in instead of AEG but let's say how that goes.

Guess with Targett starting we want an extra body in the middle to cover the ground.

Same here. Otherwise happy with that team.

Be interesting to see much targett getting forward changes our shape.

El F**kin' Ghazi and no Taylor? Who is El Ghazi going to pass the ball back to now?

Harsh on Taylor.

With that sort of line up we are looking for more attacking threat from the fullbacks. Taylor has done ok at times defensively this season, but offers nothing going forward.

Trez for Anwar for me. But, what do I know? (Very little, is correct).

I’d assume 4-2-3-1 myself

I’ve been really impressed with Taylor this year (admittedly my expectations weren’t that high) but going forward he is limited.  Targett coming in makes sense with I expect Nakamba and Hourihane being a bit deeper allowing both full backs to push on and McGinn and Grealish given more freedom to roam.

I'd have probably played Trezegeut too, but El Ghazi does have a goal and assist to his name so that's probably why he's edged it.v

I reckon AEG is a bit fitter as well. Trez like Jota seems fine after 60 mins.

He's done more than "ok at times defensively", he's been as good as we've needed. He was targeted last week at Arsenal and never gave them a sniff. So much so they abandoned the tactic and tried, with greater success on our right.

I can only imagine Targett has been brought in to match the thugish size of the Burnley attack. Still, at least we'll finally get to see him in action and can make up our own minds. Another week out and he'd have been talked about as the English Roberto Carlos.

And Trezeguet. I think he's been pretty good.

I'd like to see El Ghazi more central as I think he can score goals.

I would have thought it was more about the lack of width with the forward players selected that has seen Targett get the nod today. In the modern game your fullbacks are almost your most important players. They need to be able to contribute in both attacking and defensive scenarios.

Taylor has done ok, but I think the time has come to see what the fullback we signed for £14 million can do.

I don't think so. No doubt Taylor has done ok this season and not the complete nightmare some (me very much included) thought he might be. He's just no threat going forward and it means we have much less impact down that side. And teams can stop Guilbert. Now they have to consider both full backs a bit more. Tactically, and especially at home this is the right approach.

My guess is Grealish wide? Unless he's moving to a 4-4-2 diamond with AEG up front. Either way, a number of us are either going to look quite smart or quite dumb regarding Jack's position by full time!

If we go with a diamond I would rather have Jack at the point of the diamond and AEG on the left.

I wonder if McGinn has actually been pushed slightly to the right hand side? Grealish often drifts left naturally, leaving Anwar free to make runs off Wesley.

Probably isn't like!
