Derby Incident - Drink Driving
« on: September 26, 2019, 03:09:50 PM »
Crazy Stuff coming out of Derby today.

Club captain Richard Keogh has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury in an incident that has seen teammates Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett charged with drink-driving.

There have also been allegations of cocaine use, but these are unconfirmed.

BBC article: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-49841762
Club statement:  https://t.co/a30ulbPCeK?amp=1

Absolutely unforgivable scenes and in my view and I hope they got brought down to Earth with an extreme amount of hours doing community service.

And they've still got Rooney to join in January...

Derby released a statement which included the following, how fucking stupid do you have to be to ignore the ride laid on by the club, and not even use a taxi, or limo or anything when you do leave.

Quote
They should have known when to stop and also ignored the opportunity to be driven home using cars laid on by the club, and chose to stay out.

Agreed. With the money modern-day footballers have, there's absolutely no excuse for taking the car home.

Absolute fuckwits, and I'd say the same if it was any of our lot.

I know itís peripheral but you know we say Blues always seem to play teams without their best players.  Guess where theyíre playing on Saturday.

If the crash involved a Range Rover and a Mercedes and both Lawrence and Bennett have both been charged with drink driving I am guessing the twats crashed into each other's vehicles.

A lamp post was involved.

Talk about a club taking a nose dive. Even after a Lampard left many tipped Derby for a good shot at going up. What an absolute disaster itís been on and off the pitch. Cocu wonít be there much longer.

Maybe they were attempting to hit the post. Maybe it is the new version of the crossbar challenge, but with cars.

I came to ask that very question. How do three twats on the same night out end up in a car crash and two of them end up being charged with drink-driving?

I thought Cocu would be a very decent appointment there.

Only things I can think of is they were in two separate vehicles, or a single vehicle and one drove first and the other took over, or the driver didn't have a full licence and the passenger was therefore technically in charge of the vehicle.
