Atherstone Town Community Football Club
« on: September 20, 2019, 02:08:14 PM »

Post from the club on Facebook

"There has been a break-in during the night at the Football Club and thieves have taken our mower we use to cut the pitch.

Only the mower has been touched so it quite clearly has been targeted, if anyone has got any information could they get in touch with the club ASAP.

This mower was donated to the club by an Atherstone Resident several years ago, and has great sentimental value. This is a huge setback for the club financially, as we had only this week had it reconditioned for the new season. If any one can share any information on its whereabouts please do so.
All information will be in the strictest confidence, Please help us if you can, this really has affected the club dramatically".

The club is run by volunteers and this is a big set back.

Grrr.  That's an awful thing to do.

I can see their ground from my house and often hear the sounds of a game on an evening ( and their firework display ).  Hope they catch the tossers.
