Villa Park is a cathedral to football. World-renowned, atmospheric and can raise hairs on the back of the neck of even the most hardened neutral. Sure we can move away to a bigger and better stadium, but an atmosphere like last night is magical. And whilst the Emirates or the Etihad might be bigger, what went on at those last five minutes before and after the final whistle at Villa Park could never be repeated at those grounds. We're Villa, the best fans in the world, worshipping at what is fast becoming one of the last great bastions of proper, caring for the fans, stadiums in the world (and I include the North Stand in that!)

Completely forgot about the “fuck the Blose” line in Sweet Caroline!

Hopefully everyone does, so small time mentioning them straight after we win.
I didn’t even realise some fans sang it until watching some playoff final footage, but it’s just a 3 word line adapted in humour rather than anything “small time”.

Anyways, my friend said she felt the Holte actually move and rock when we scored...I’ve never felt it myself in the Holte (I’m usually too busy jumping around like a nutter to notice). Has anyone else ever felt the Holte move during goal celebrations?

edit: actually, I did feel the Holte thud and shake when the first goal went in against Sheff Utd last season...first (and last) time I’ve ever decided to leave early and I was downstairs taking a piss on the way out.

I felt the Holte moving when we equalised in the 3-2 Arsenal, skydiving Santa game.

Since I was already on my way out before Neil Diamind started singing, I didn’t hear this. I still don’t understand why such things need to be sung, ditto the McGrath on the piss song and that terrible Allez dirge.

It's great hearing the Villa fans sing as one. Loving the atmosphere generated by the best fans bar none. UTV!

Didn't realise that "Fuck the Blues" had been introduced to Sweet Caroline, I really hope that doesn't catch on.  It's such a joyful, untainted song, shame if it gets ruined by small-minded local rivallry.

It’s been sung by a large minority for a while. I first heard it in the Aston Social after the 3-0 last March and everybody in there was singing (?) those three little words.

On the plus side you don't need to sing "those three little words" and it doesn't sound any different

Plenty of Evertonions posted on Twitter about how great the atmosphere was from start to finish and were also appreciative of our support for their fan Ryan who died 12 years ago .
