When I saw in the Bournemouth pre match thread, that 78% were going for a Villa win, had a feeling things might, as they often do, go pear shaped. So don't mind the fact only 30% are going for a Villa win.
The goods news is we have scored more goals than Everton, bad news we've conceded 5 to their 1. Would take a draw now, to get us off the mark and then get our first win at Palace. Always the optimist!

Hard one to call. Difficult to learn much from last 2 games because spurs are another level and we threw the game away against Bournemouth.
I reckon Everton are a bit better than Bournemouth, roughly same tier of team. Definitely beatable but a draw and points on the board would be a good result.

How were Everton in their first two games? I'm still failing to see a whole MOTD through after a 3 year sabbatical since our relegation. I noticed on Saturday that Gary Lineker still does that slapping his hands on his knees thing as a coping mechanism when he's afraid to stand over an opinion when addressing his bald audience of Shearer/Murphy/Wright. I just haven't missed the schtick.

A tough game and I'd also take a point, however I think we will struggle. Ah feck it 3-1 to Villa.

I’d be happy enough with a point I think depending on how the game goes
but I wouldn’t take a point right now I want us to go for a win I believe we can get one

I'd take a point now. I fear if we give up a goal cheaply we'll find it very hard to break them down.
The effect of losing could check any sense of momentum, whereas a point would give us a platform ahead of Crewe and Palace, who will hopefully be off the back of a humbling at Old Trafford.
Echoes of 15/16 still loom large.

Interestingly the H&V poll is a fairly even three way split. My prediction is a 1-1 draw.

I'm going to predict a 2-1 win, coming from behind. McGinn and Wesley on the scoresheet.

Dipped their forum earlier and they seem to have made up their mind that we are "shite" Just how they've come to that conclusion on such little evidence says more about them than us.Very uncomplimentary about our club and fans dress sense! So with that in mind i'm thinking fuck em. Villa to win 1-0.

Everton seem to be one of those clubs that we hardly ever think about but seem to have a big chip on their shoulder about us. Fuck the fuckers.

Everton have always had a chip on their shoulder about us...and I still have no idea why as they don’t even come close to being in a top 10 list of clubs you hate.
I think their fans are starting to believe the media hype that they should be competing with the top 6 having spent over £400m over the last few seasons, but the truth is that they are still a bit shit...average team with average players that will finish in an average mid table position well short of the top 6 teams.
They have been far from convincing in their first 2 games of the season having scraped a draw and a win against Palace and Watford respectively. They will have a much tougher game against us on Friday night and I expect us to take at least a draw from the game.

We get this every time we play them, and the main reason is that we're one of the few clubs 'oo 'now their 'istory, and 'now it's better than theirs.
They only exist because McGregor wanted Everton in the league when everyone else wanted Bootle.

Their support has been terrible for years.
Bring numbers but all sit down for 90 minutes and scream for a penalty every time someone so much as farts.

Well, that isn't going to matter too much in the near future.
