I think Trezeguet, finishing apart, has been our most impressive attacking player so far. I certainly wouldn't be dropping him.

Agreed.

Not really fancying this game. Just feel like we are destined to have an horrific start. A draw wouldn't be a disaster.

I would feel happier seeing a central three of Conor, Luiz and SJM with Grealish left for this one. I'd love to play with Jack Central instead of Conor eventually, but until the team have gelled I think that makes us a bit loose.

Can't see anything but a loss here, sorry. I wanted to think we'd pick up points from this one, but my expectations have really taken a massive dent after the weekend.

Also flying in for this one - got a strange feeling we will win under the lights. If not it will be a long and painful journey home!!

Thanks to the generosity of UKR I'm able to attend this match.

Going back to my tried and trusted D 1-1 from the latter end of last season.

Everton haven't conceded yet have they? Can't see us winning. 2-2 draw.

If Villa had won the first two games, no way would i have risked allowing Leeg into the stadium.

Surely the intended 'continuity' effect of playing Taylor and Elmo as full backs has lapsed now? Expect to see Fred and Targett pushing forward on either side. It means Mingles and Doug will need to cover all breaks in the centre; I hope they can.
Last chance for the Trez/Wes/AEG front 3 to prove they should remain first choice.
Trouble is, I can't really see who you replace them with.  Jota hasn't impressed me one little bit in his sub appearances, and Davis isn't ready to be our number one striker.  Those three basically pick themselves.
"Last chance"? - a little melodramatic, perhaps.
Risso, I'd say the answer lies not in replacing people per se but more about how we set up.
I think Brontebilly has got it right with:
-----------------Heaton
Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Targett
-------------Luiz, Hourihane
---- Trez, Grealish, McGinn
----------------Wes
... although I've taken Jota out and put in Trezeguet. I just think this looks more secure.
When he's ready, I'd see Hourihane being replaced for some games by Marvelous, because one thing I've taken from the first two games is that we need more physically-imposing players.

I'd go

              Heaton
Elmo  Engles  Mings  Targett
               Luiz
      McGinn  Hourahane
Trezeguet             Grealish
               Wesley

Going back to start of March think they've kept 8 clean sheets from last 12 games.
