Got a ticket sitting on my hands in the Palace end.

So next big question. Where do away fans usually booze pre-match?

I live nearby, but as far as I’m concerned the surrounding area is a bit of a desert for pubs fit for humanity.

In the past I’ve joined Palace chums in their “special” places!

I’m driving on Saturday for the first time (always got the coach or train to Selhurst Park previously).

Does anyone have any tips for parking? Is it worth trying to park near the ground (I don’t mind a bit of a walk) or is it best to park at a station and get the train in?

Thanks

I don't know much about parking near the ground, but living in the borough I wouldn't do it. My advice is to park at Reedham station (just over 2 quid for 24 hours ringgo accepted). It is just off the A23 by Purley fire station. Or if there is a space round the corner on Old Lodge Lane past the railway bridges on the left - free. I park there if I am too lazy to walk.

Train to Norwood Junction at 15 and 45 past each hour, takes about 20 minutes. Use contactless on the oyster machines to pay. There are possibly options closer the ground or with more trains but that's what I would do.

Wish I could have got a ticket - it's my closest away game.

Ah yes, been there.  A couple of train stops from me.

Which pub. There's the Railway Telegraph I know. And some down on the corner of Whitehorse Lane.
