So do we know if Douglas and Marvellous will play in Germany?
Surely they will not walk straight into the team for Spurs.

Doug = no work permit
Marv = not a Villa player

Davis needs to get ahead of his marker.

Things I'd Like to See Today: a corner slung straight into the box with no pissfarting about.

For other baseball fans....... Woodward’s style reminds me of Vin Scully, the veteran and knowledgable but vastly overrated commentator

But Scully made his name on the radio way before TV. And Scully also paced himself. Jack is just a constant stream of poop.

Wesley has played in all the friendlies, I'm guessing they just want to give Davis & Hogan a run out today - nothing more sinister than that

If he was on the bench, I might agree. The fact that he's not even on the bench suggests that the rumours of an injury were true.

That's my suspicion, too.

He might have a niggle but he hasn't broken his leg.  He was photographed shopping in Birmingham and noticeably didn't have a cast or crutches.

The thing with Woodward is that he never offers any insight into the game.  He literally just describes what everyone can see for themselves, bar the occasional nugget from his list of factoids.

Crossing is atrocious today. Guilbert already looks to be the best crosser of the ball from the preseason games so far.

The only players involved against Kuwait were those that played 20 mins or less against Walsall, so there's a chance he got a knock in training this week but he didn't break his leg against Kuwait.

I think we can see how important Wesley and Jota will be. We seem to lack invention so far in the final third.

Even once we settle to what we all imagine to be the best starting XI there’s going to be a few weeks of blending in. We might not see us properly click for a little while against PL opponents who for the most part won’t have made a lot of changes from last season.

Am I imagining this or is Neil Taylor looking a bit chunky?

it’s first game out for both Trezeguet and El Ghazi!
