Looks a bit lightweight from what I was expecting but if he’s athletic, skillful and strong enough in possession then we could have a player on our hands. Glad he got some minutes tonight and expect him to be introduced as a sub a few times rather than starter when he’s match fit to get him comfortable with the pace of the PL.

Looked a bit rusty the first 20 minutes but really got up to speed second half and thought he really got a grip of the game and ball. Encouraging.

Was interesting to see Mervelous last night.  Some good things and some signs that he's got to get up to speed, but not a bad showing for his first game in English football.

Looking forward to seeing how he develops this season.  My only disappointment really was that he doesn't go by his first name on his shirt!

According to official site Dean says he’s close to being ready for a first team spot pushing Doug and Conor. I’m thinking he’s loving life here looking at this pic.

Douglas and 2 games with long flights could be tested I think for Marvellous to make his debut.
I think Deano will account for that with a few that have been away and how many mins they played and how far they have travelled

he looks a cross between Dalian and Dwight . I love him just for that .

I can certainly see Yorke in him

Aside from the odd misplaced pass in the first half, thought he had a really promising debut. He provides more of a physical presence than Luiz and could do well for us.

I agree.  He was neat and tidy without being hugely creative.  Covered the ground well and likes a tackle.  Hopefully, much more to come from him. I thought he was better than Douglas but would like to see them play together.
