No issues with him at all. As I put in the Wesley thread a couple of weeks ago, we have the makings of a decent 3-5-2. Mings, Engels and Konsa are a great back 3, Guilbert and Targett are already winbacks, this was originally said when Davis was fit as I believe him and Wes would cause alot of trouble, McGinn, Jack and Nakamba in tje middle, basee on our personel I believe this formation would suit us, just not sure if Smith will adapt to it.

Easy to say in hindsight obviously, but I think, particularly given the absentees, that matching Wolves up and going 3-5-2/3-4-3 would have been much better today. Would have stopped Jota and Traore being 1v1 so much and should have prevented us being so open in the middle of the pitch.

Like you though, I’m not sure something like this would ever happen. I fear that  Smith is possibly too idealistic to change things at the moment.

Well if AEG and Trez keep playing as badly he won’t have much choice.

Did well again tonight.

Considering the situation at the end of last season, the club have done an excellent job to get us in a position where we have a pool of CBs that would all do a decent job in this league. All young enough to have plenty of potential to improve as well.

He's been excellent every time he's played, and we didn't miss Engels at all last night because of how good he was.  Superb.

I really like him. Solid defensively and confident enough to pass out from the back, only walloping it when it needs walloping. We have three excellent centre-backs and at least one good one, depending on how well Chester could play after his lengthy layoff.

There's little to choose between Konsa and Engles. I'm impressed with both.

Tyrone needs a rest as I think he's carrying an injury. Pleased that Ezri and Bjorn are there to cover.

He did really well again last night, Engels may not get back in straight away.

We're blessed in the centre-back department for sure with Mings, Engels, Konsa, Chester, Hause. I'm pleased.

Looked strong and competent again, add Hause ,Guilbert, Mings, Engels with Heaton behind them and I can’t recall the last time we were so prepared defensively?
