It was the same last year. I had to chase them up to get my lad's pack. It's only a few bits of tat, but they love that kind of crap. The person I spoke to seemed to think I was a complete arsehole for expecting it within three months of purchase. Plus, there was no guarantee of actually getting the gift... try explaining that to a 7 year old. Having said that, ticket office staff were great with me and gave me the gift without the voucher and it was a lot better quality than I expected.

Posted something about the club shop in another thread, but have had a similar experience this summer with the club membership.  It's bad enough to not get something within a reasonable timeframe, but to get attitude when trying to chase it up it extremely frustrating.

When I rang the shop about the away kit problems, they really could not have been more helpful or accommodating.

My experience of staff at the shop and at the actual ticket office (as opposed to on the phone) has been uniformly good.

That's life in general though. It's about proximity.

Think about how different most conversations would go face to face, as opposed to on line forums. 😉

Still waiting for 2 memberships. Bought mine on 17th July and the confirmation email states “Membership packs will be delivered within 28 days of purchase”...it’s been 35 days so far.

I would absolutely agree- I've had a fair amount of arbitrary fees avoided (I'm a long time STH) just by asking for common sense. We've got some good people working there

Even on the phone to the ticket office most of them are really helpful- just explain without getting into a battle usually helps nowadays

I haven’t had any info about membership, but I applied late just to get tickets for the Bournemouth game.
