God, this unpredictability is doing us no favours. Apart from Watford at the moment who you sense will improve as they have the players, anyone can win on any given day which keeps us right in the mix.

Newcastle were rancid against us yet have beaten Spurs, Man Utd and a decent in form Sheff Utd at their place.

What's going on?

We have to pick up at least a couple of wins against the top seven or eight.

Flamengo 6-1 Avai. Flamengo did the league and Copa Libertadores double. They beat River a couple of weekends ago. They have some lovely players, none better than Gabriel Barbosa who if there was a magic wand I would transport to Villa Park immediately. What a forward he would be. Reborn after a bit of an unsuccessful spell in Italy and Portugal. Heíll be headed back to Europe next season I imagine. But Flamengo on front of almost 70k were a lot better in an absolutely deluge before the game. And it should have been a much bigger score.

I had Forest to win 2-1 away to Millwall at odds of 10/1 but Millwall equalised and made it 2-2 in stoppage time.

Iím watching a replay of the Arsenal vs Brighton game at a bar. Good fucking grief how did we lose to them. I know it was earlier in the season and we truly fucking blew it but my God they are utter, utter shit at the back.

We should have stuck with the original blueprint for the league and not allowed any poxy Southern teams in. Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea only fucking try against us.

Donít mind Everton getting out of trouble. Always had a soft spot for them.... A similar club to Villa imo. Huge following, but brushed aside in the Sky football era, similar to us.

I would quite like at least three teams to finish below us, thanks. I'll worry about picking a choosing which three when we're mathematically safe. In any case, they have a chip on their shoulder about us so fuck them.

Huddersfield v Leeds. Piss poor Championship refereeing.

I'm guessing Damo has bet on Chelsea so as to push us closer to relegation...😥

As long as three teams finish below us I couldnít give a tinkers cuss who they are. That said, if it was West Ham, Everton and Newcastle Iíd never stop laughing.

Not guilty, I haven't bet on the Everton v Chelsea game. I have however had Leeds to beat Huddersfield 3-1. Leeds are 1-0 up but if the ref had done his job properly Leeds would be 2-0 up.
