Albion losing 1-0.
They are an away team ... everyone should know that  cos WM said it on Saturday.

Young Boys equalise against Red Star Belgrade.  Cue chant ‘stand up if you love young boys, stand up if you love young boys.’

Butland must be chuffed with his summer.
Apparently he committed a howler for their second.

Having been to Stoke, I would imagine their supporters are still trying to get out of the place.  If my experiences are anything to go by.  I'm surprised I'm home now, only started out in 1977!

Trentham with the gardens and Newcastle Under Lyme are quite nice, the rest.....makes Chernobyl look like a nice weekend city break.

I didn't realise this was 'only' Preston's fifth consecutive season in the Championship. I thought they had been at this level for about a decade or more.

They haven't played in the top flight since the mid 60s! Pretty depressing for them to see likes of Wigan and Blackpool get a taste of premier league football in the last decade.

Huddersfield look as if they have bought ten fans to Cardiff.

Wasn’t Stoke once voted the most depressing place to live in Western Europe?

I am guessing only by people who haven't been to Northampton.

Northampton is pretty grotty for the most part, but no way is it as bad as Stoke.

It's not even close!

Way too many Kylie puns from the EFL On Quest commentator during the Albion v Reading highlights. Apparently she was number one back when Reading last won at Albion in 1988.

Apparently he committed a howler for their second.

I saw this live. He let a mishit dribbler of a shot from former Villa legend Daniel Johnson just bobble past him.

He needs a move or I fear that his career will stagnate

I'd describe a career spent playing for Birmingham and Stoke, most of it in the lower divisions as pretty stagnant already.

Goalkeepers' careers can go downhill very suddenly - think Scott Carson and Paul Robinson. Your individual errors are highlighted and you can easily lose your confidence and your defenders become nervy too.

And by the way, Northampton is like Geneva when compared with Stoke.

I’ve never seen any player go from hero to zero as quickly as Carson

that England game killed his career
it does beg the question that if he’d never played in that match his weaknesses would have come through at another time, but when he returned from the England camp he was completely shot and never to fully recover

I remember even after that Liverpool honestly thought we would pay £10 million for him, and sell Barry to them for only a couple of million more. Absolute jokers.
