Great find, and I was there too, stood in that corner at the end the goal was scored.  There's something about that short footage that nicely evokes the excitement that the team of 76/77 generated.

My favourite ever season. I was only 12 but it still resonates passion and excitement and us competing as one of the best teams in the country. Should have won the league that season

Great find! We were in the corner at the opposite end, and with lots of Villa fans in the seats on that side, practically the whole side was Villa.
Andy Gary was unstoppable at that time and absolutely adored by the Villa fans. Fixture congestion and injuries cost us the title.
Probably the most entertaining Villa team in my lifetime.
Seem to remember it was a little lively after getting back to the station!

I was there. It was bedlam when Andy Gray scored with that header late on.

Remember it well. I was with me mates coming back from a party in Manchester nursing the Mother of all hangovers. I was in the packed away end.  As the game went on my hangover dissipated and I'd forgotten about it completely when some non to pretty girl decided to give me hand relief with her fella next to her. I must have looked like I need it.

I went to countless matches throughout the 70s, home and away, with many a hangover and that didn't once happen to me. What the hell was I doing wrong?

I was only young then 16 and got the National coach from London Victoria.  Not sure why but there was no trip organised by the London Lions.  I ordered my ticket through Leicester as it was all ticket and the box office there let me swop it for a Villa pen one in the Kop.

Remember us playing in white and sky blue and Gray scoring.

The main memory was the coach journey home, the coach came from Nottingham where Arsenal had been playing Notts  County and a mate from school was on it.  A lot of Arsenal were and they were happy.  This silly cow got angry and grabbed at my programme because the fans were signing.  She got a barrel through.  To make things worse when I got home my mum was begging me to let my cousin watch some daft programme instead of match of the day - match of the day I always  watched so it was a no no no from me.

My first visit to Filbert Street was in 1984. We lost 2-0 and Steve Foster made his Villa debut.

I was there that day and remember the goal well as i was also in the corner where we scored. Use to love the muddy pitches of the day .I also remember a mob of Villa fans going into their end after the final whistle and it all kicking off .Great seeing Gidman and Cropley again

I was there that day.  It was my first ever trip on the steamers coach as a 17 year old.  We got there at around 11am and spent the morning drinking in the Turnstile pub.  As was usual in those days, I'd had way too much to drink by the time the game started.

I was in the Kop, the opposite end to where the goal was scored.  For some reason then, the away fans were split into two sections, one being in the corner at one end of the ground and the other being in the first 2 sections of the Kop at the other end.
