Re loans: we should be demanding as hell about where they go. We want these players to be schooled for a year not simply making up someone else's numbers.
Brentford is an obvious candidate, but perhaps also Fulham and Huddersfield

Haven't Fulham already got lots of players though?  After they did a Fulham last summer.
Haha.
I don't know how many they've offloaded since they 'did one'.

I can’t see Hourihane getting a look in next season either

I would wager that we won't see a match-day 18 WITHOUT Hourihane in it next season (unless he's injured). He's earned that right, and the hierarchy have clearly rewarded him for this endeavours over the past few seasons with a new contract.

Lansbury can impress all he wants in pre-season, but Hourihane has consistently produced in games - and the big games even more importantly. He might struggle to hold-down a starting spot this season, but I'm sure he'll always be in the squad as he's capable of coming-off the bench and creating / scoring a goal from a set-piece.

Grealish aside, I'm not sure how many dead-ball 'specialists' we actually have left in this squad...
With respect, anyone advocating selling Kodjia and keeping Davis needs to give their head a wobble. Granted he's not the player he was pre ankle injuries, but Kodjia can, and does, still score and create things, whilst Davis simply holds up the ball.

I'm wobbling my head all around and it's still coming up with Davis every day of the week

admittedly I probably think more of Davis than the average Villa fan
and also less of Kodjia than most on here, but that's just personal opinions of players

time will tell if Davis can step up with us or elsewhere and if Kodgia has any quality left to give

I think being in a squad of 18 is what I meant by not getting a look in

we have a million players in midfield now and I've said before if Hourahane is playing a major part for us next season if he's the one we are relying on we will be in deep trouble because imo he's not good enough for the quality and rigours of the prem

it's all opinions obviously but I'm glad we have a number of options now
