As I said on Twitter, Kappa have been an unmitigated disaster.  The kit is truly horrible, and to make matters worse, they've chosen the 90s players like Teale to model it, and Kappa's appalling sizing really accentuate that they're not as slim as they used to be.  I just can't even begin to imagine who thought that any of this was a good idea.

Actually I was thinking that at least the choice of models gives an honest representation of how it will look on a lot of fans. I reckon all mens fashion should be modelled by blokes with moobs, fat backs and beer bellies, then you can see how well the clothes hide them. Seriously though, I can't fathom why they chose to revisit that particular kit. I can't think of any we've had that was less adored.

I really liked the green and black striped number back in the day.

Ok. I'll buy one if we win three on the trot starting with Ashburton Grove.

Oh I know some people liked it, Richard E, but it seemed that lots didn't. I remember it being pretty controversial. If I was picking a classic old away kit to resurrect that one would be a long way down the list.

Decent looking kit and colours (on people who look vaguely athletic).

Horrendously oversized main sponsor. The tat on the sleeve doesn't help either.

A shame we couldn't have gone the Paddy Power route this year.

As an aside, regardless of context (apart from this comment) all use of the word ‘iconic’ should be a criminal offence.

Quite right. Out of interest I just looked up the word 'iconic' in the dictionary and it's now defined as 'meaningless marketing guff'.

That third kit is truly appalling. Whatever possessed them to release that.

I tried on the home kit yesterday at XXXL & XXXXL and they are both tight fits, felt poor quality and then noticed that the badge is not the rubber one as on the elite. I have a XXXL Luke one which fits well over a longe sleeved tee for colder ngihts. This Kappa one is pitiful and I won't be buying one.

I hope the club are taking note of the reaction on their Twitter page as it's overwhelmingly negative.

Ditch that kit, it's shite.

I loved the 1995 Muller kit but then we won a lot of games in it, at least in the first season we wore it. Not too keen on this new one but it's better than last year's third.

Don't think much to this one. Probably be worn at Brighton in the cup and never again.

They going to wear it at Man City away apparently. We didn't always have to wear away kit at city, blue shorts always did the trick but I suppose as we now have a sky blue away kit it's a necessity.

Given all the  consultation committees, focus groups, market research etc that these things go through, I find it astonishing that no one, not least some grizzled old senior exec, at school some point said ‘that is simply shit.’

Those of you who view the "Pride Points" pages will probably agree with me - They'll be offering loads of these shirts on there before very long - It's absolutely awful and will not sell well.

I dont think I've ever seen the clubs support so unanimous in a decision since we appointed McLeish. I'm yet to see a single person on any social media platform that can come up with a positive.
