I was in the Holte for that Colchester penalty shout out in 1979. I reckon Mike Walkers penalty went further than Chris Waddle’s in Italia 90. It was like a goal kick and must have gone 2|3 of the way up the Holte

Len Weston Challenge Cup - Mar 19 1973 Hereford United 2-2*Won 4-3 on Penalties
N Rioch 1-0, Johnstone 1-1, Betts 2-1, Griffiths 2-2, Hamilton missed 2-2, Naylor missed 2-2, McMahon 3-2, Travener 3-3, Graydon 4-3, McLaughlin missed 4-3.

I'm pretty sure I was at this. I've been to Edgar Street just the once and it was a friendly. I can remember some sort of trophy being presented but cannot recall the shootout.

I was there when we won the Simon Weston Challenge Cup. We were on fire that day.

I watched the Bolton semi final one on YT not too long ago, was fairly sure someone missed for us. Will give it another watch now to make sure.

All scored, you must be thinking of a Man Utd shootout.
