Veronica is my Mother in Laws name....lovely woman :)

Veronica was also my mother's middle name.  I never knew it until I had to apply on her behalf for a copy of her birth certificate.  She always claimed she never had a middle name.

I got a ticket (through the company a friend used to work for) in Club Wembley Gold seats for the Liverpool semi final.

It was basically middle level, bang on the halfway line.

You pay whatever (insane) amount for a year subscription (no idea what the minimum year commitment is) and you get your seat for every event at Wembley. I was sat next to a couple who had bought them on a whim a few years ago purely because they liked going to important sporting events, and the FA Cup semi finals were part of the package.

It was a great seat, great location and what not, but the amounts of money involved will doubtless be insane.

I think it's about £3K a year to join Club Wembley, on a minimum three year contract.  All that does is give you the right to buy tickets for events.

Had a Club Wembley ticket for the Liverpool semi. There was a mix of Liverpool/Villa fans and tourists. Luckily had Villa fans next to me (and we were in the Villa end.) Can imagine it being grim if you're in the away end though.

Which gives you a pretty good idea of how much your daughter would thank you for calling her Veronica! (Although ‘Ronnie’ is quite a cool nickname I think)

If mine haven't arrived when I get back home , I will start bricking it. I am getting all OCD about having them in my hand. , made worse when I read everyone else seems to have had theirs delivered !!

Me and a friend had to go into the ballot for Club Wembley to get tickets and I can confirm the amounts are frightening. Think it's about £400. Still cheaper than £3k to join Club Wembley though. We'd better win!

My work used to have 6 Club Wembley, had them for the Cup Final right on the HW line opposite the Royal Box, great seats.  I had to donate £100 each to charity for them (2 for me and my lad).  Unfortunately they stopped at the end of last season as "we weren't getting the best use out of them"  A real mix of fans around though, mostly Gooners that day it has to be said.
