There are still quite a few tickets left in the Upper Trinity and it's not on sale for the Norwich match yet.

Upper Trinity already sold out for Norwich, in fact, only 10 tickets left for this game in the whole ground, front row bottom tier of away section.

Looking at the crowds for Blackburn, Bristol City, Millwall and Norwich then I'm guessing many fans have taken advantage of the four match ticket offer for those games.  Will have been a good move by the club if that is case.

For anyone travelling up from London, Euston station will be closed over the entire Easter weekend.

And for Norwich home. Top tip: return to Aston/Witton costs the same as return to Moor Street from Marylebone.

I was on a christmas "do" year before last, and a long standing colleague is a cockerney fella, moved up here thirty years ago. Old Kent Road, old man was a cabbie, holidays in sarfend, Millwall fan, the works. He introduced me to a bloke that I'd heard many a mention of, but never met. To my surprise, he too was from that neck of the woods.

"How did it make you feel, knowing that we'd there, we'd been on your steps? Did you see the video of us taking the piss, did ya, did ya, eh?".
Firstly, "we"? Neither of you went.
Secondly, my reply of, "well, as long as everybody had a nice day out, that's all that matters" didn't seem to be the answer they were hoping for.

It's a form of flattery really that they would want to have a picture outside one of the most famous stands in English football.

There's currently over 1,800 tickets available for this in the Trinity.

I bumped into that group of Millwall fans in the Lord Clifden before the match. There must have been at least 50 of them. They were ok, looked more like the Jolly Boys outing, lots of grey hair and selfies going on rather than a proper trouble making firm.

Came up on the screens in North Lower on Saturday, that we will not be able to exit onto Witton Lane at the end of the game

First match for donkeys years coming from Perry Barr.

Am I right in thinking that both before and after the game I have to go onto Trinity Road and then across to Witton Island?

Instead of thousands like me being inconvenienced by 20 minutes, surely it would be better to inconvenience the 2,000 animals by locking them in for 20 minutes?

There's another entrance/exit round the back of Villa Village that's open to fans (H&V surely missing a trick not putting a seller there.....) so anyone who's in the North will be escorted out that way. Will only add a minute or two onto things if you're coming from that way.

It is a right pain though if you're sitting in the Witton and heading in Perry Barr direction.

Yes, I'm in the Witton.

I think I'll probably head for Birchfield Rd, up the trinity Rd.  Still a bit further than a lazy old so & so like me would prefer though.

I think I posted this before on the memories section, so sorry for the repetitive.
1973 1st away game of the season, we had beat Preston at home in the previous gae.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa  I was 18 , Millwall away, for any one that was there it was the most weird one ever, 2 Coachloads of young steamers to be and a few old stagers, Roscoe, Bootsie, Miffy, Haddon.
Sadly RIP for a couple of them.
our coach driver would not go closer than London Bridge, so we caught the train to the closest station, New Cross.
That day the Villa had two football specials that went from New Street.
When we got off the local train . we asked it looks dead.
It seems the Villa specials were ambushed, guys jumping over tracks to get on local trains to get away.
eerie set up for us going to the ground
To cut the story short, at half time Villa fans from all around the ground jumped onto the pitch and followed the players down the tunnel to escape.
Many stories about the trek back to the station, All the Villa fans, with a police horse escort and I would estimate half the Millwall attendance snarling and jumping up and down behind the  police.
Fast forward to January the first 1974, Same season.
For Auld Lang Syne, we had drank our fair share.
Feeling very sorry for ourselves a sad group of about 6 trudged across and through the frosty grass in Holte park looking for a greasy spoon and breakfast
What we found, parked up outside the Holte Pub was two coach loads of Millwall fans. (+/- 11.00 in the morning)
They " discovered us and gave chase"
Shit ,Hung over, Knackered, hungry, we legged it.
Back at the game a couple of hours later, well fed, some  beers and a few more steamers, the tough Cockneys had disappeared and taken their legendry status with them.
For you at home, onwards and upwards.
