Bloody awful fans the ones I personally encountered, coming out of Highfield Road the year Staunton smashed the winner some tramp spat right in my face. The walk back to the train station was something very special.
However, itís still awful and for all there dick head fans Iím sure they have many genuine ones as well, so for that reason I hope they get it all sorted out.

This thread will make their season, finally relevant to some Villa fans.

I enjoyed the wins there, utter shithole though.

I have seen us play at Highfield Road numerous times. I think the first time I went there we won 3-0 in the Graham Turner days and it was freezing cold and the pitch was treacherous.

Was at school and lived there the season they went up to the 1st and we went down to the 2nd. 68/69
Jimmy, his beard and all the ramataz.
They were at the time the dynamic trendsetters, novelty competitions, award winning programe, media savy, while we were dinosaurs heading for extinction with our funny accent.
At least thats the way they saw it.
Thoroughly loved going  back in the 70,s to thrash them.

Was that the game where Steve Ogrizovic ( is that how you spell it?) was pelted with snowballs when he approached the Villa end?  He ended up having to use his goalie's handbag as a shield to protect himself.

I could tell a few tales as to why I hate Coventry after being subjected to college there. The oddest thing though was in that pub opposite the ground when it got rowdy once and I was somewhat taken aback after buying a round to discover a police horse in the bar.

Coventry City Football Club will update the EFL by 5pm today about the situation regarding a stadium to play at next season, ahead of the EFL Board Meeting taking place tomorrow.

No decision on the Club's future will be made either today or tomorrow.

The Club will confirm its aim is to agree a deal at our home, the Ricoh Arena. This is best for the Coventry City Football Club, its fans, the community and all parties.

We are of course aware that Wasps have chosen not to negotiate with us while our Owners SISU pursue their legal case against Coventry City Council, in which Wasps are named as an interested party.

As such, the Clubís management have a responsibility to the Football Club and its future and to its fans, to explore other options that may be used to ensure the Clubís survival if both sides maintain their stance and therefore no agreement can be reached for us to remain at the Ricoh Arena.

This means our deadline is the 25th April, when if necessary there will be a vote of EFL Members Clubs on our future in the EFL.

We will continue to do all that is in the Football Clubís power to achieve what we believe everyone wants to see next season Ė agreement for Coventry City to play at the Ricoh Arena Ė before that deadline, so that a vote on our place in the EFL is not necessary.

REVISION - 05/03/19 - 17:00: The Club can confirm it has provided the update outlined above to the EFL, ahead of their Board Meeting.

Coventry are reporting that they are currently talking with 2 local clubs regarding possible groundshare for next season.  Could we be one of those clubs?

Small Heath or Leicester, A45 or M69.

If they go to Small Heath maybe they can share Mick Ferguson again.

I canít see a PL side agreeing to a ground share or even if PL rules allow it. I think they will end up back at Northampton again.

I thought the Football League had said it wouldn't be acceptable for them to have another season at Northampton?
