With the loan players we are going to lose and with the exception of Grealish, Kallinic, and McGinn, I am really struggling to convince my self that ANY of the fuckers in that squad tonight should still be here next season.

Dean Smith looks stunned.  He also looks massively out of his depth.

I can't help hearing a sense of smugness there.....or is that just me?

So, you agree with his points, but think he's enjoying Smith looking massively out of his depth?

I think it's just you.

Made a mug of both centre halves . Season over.

I don’t think you can blame the centre halves today to be honest. It’s that useless powderpuff midfield that’s the problem and the lack of any threat
Agreed only so long you can hold out. McGinn aside midfield is awful.
McGinn very poor tonight.

I would rather we just play the kids for the rest of the season than watching that shower of shit.

ok.....Smith out then.... pretty much done with this forum on a match day now. Maybe I'm in a minority but I want to feel some Villa love and support, not this constant negativity. Just makes it all worse. See you all at Wembley for the playoff final - #stillbelievetillmathematicallyimpossibelbecauseitjustmakesmefeelbetter

Can't disagree with that.
I'd be disappointed if any of them were still here.

Waiting until 31st January to sign a midfielder, and then signing one who has been injured all season, was absolutely fucking stupid and could end up costing Smith his job.
That's a ridiculous thing to say. Do you think that's how it works? It's widely known that we have a whole network of people tasked with improving the squad. It's not Sunday league football.

Really The Edge? That window amateur hour

Agree.  We have some real dross on our books. Sloppy Dross with no sense of urgency. Our players are not of the required standard.

Too many old players. We need a younger fitter squad. Dean needs time to build his own squad.

Towards the end of the ninety minutes I was getting ready to post how we had been second best but at least our keeper had a good game and kept a clean sheet.

Very worrying since Christmas, the last 2 games have really been disappointing - I enjoyed the come back on Friday, but we had played shocking all night, followed by tonight. Think you have to give Smth a pre season and transfer window, but I think its fair to ask some questions of him, its a shocking run against mainly teams lower than us in the table. Thought Andre green has been really poor in the last 2 performances, delivery again tonigt very poor... Season over
