Well. We need a more intelligent rebuild. Here's to next season. Thanks for the company everyone, up the Villa.

Waiting until 31st January to sign a midfielder, and then signing one who has been injured all season, was absolutely fucking stupid and could end up costing Smith his job.
Not to mention the decent left back we needed

Dean Smith looks stunned.  He also looks massively out of his depth.

I can't help hearing a sense of smugness there.....or is that just me?

And there's your basic Elphick problem.
Yes that was poor but lay off him and Mings , probably best centre half duo this season and have had to save more attacks than we’d like but look what’s in front of them

He's done ok, but he is basically slow with poor technique.

Showed what a piss poor transfer window we had.  Apart from Mings maybe.

Made a mug of both centre halves . Season over.

I don’t think you can blame the centre halves today to be honest. It’s that useless powderpuff midfield that’s the problem and the lack of any threat

That's a ridiculous thing to say. Do you think that's how it works? It's widely known that we have a whole network of people tasked with improving the squad. It's not Sunday league football.

Agreed only so long you can hold out. McGinn aside midfield is awful.

Totally, ineffective midfield, ineffective team.
