Mings was absolutely top drawer yesterday. He got better and better as the game went on.
There are a few clubs that have forwards as good as Spurs so he won’t come under a barrage like that every week.

He will be even better when he plays in games where he has a little more time to show what a good footballer he is and will prove that the fee we paid was an absolute steal.

I'm just pissed off we lost so we couldn't do a meme about Tyrone emptying his pockets and finding Harry Kane in there.

Mings at £20m and Harry Maguire at £85m? I honestly wouldn't swap Tyrone for Maguire, would you?

Nope.  I think Tyrone's a better player, then there's the intangible qualities he has.  I wouldn't swap him for anybody to be honest.

Sorry, typo error - I wouldn't swap Tyrone for Maguire! Bloomin' predictive text!

Tryone is a $100m CH if this summer's transfers are anything to go by. Spurs fans on Twitter already raving about his performance yesterday and suggesting they should buy him in January. Yeah right?!

Mings and Engels will become the best CH duo in this league if we push on.

Excellent again yesterday on the whole. Really think him and Engels have the makings of an excellent partnership

I don’t want this to sound patronising, but it’s really heartening to see intelligent players at the Villa. Mings is clearly clever and able to spot what’s going wrong on the pitch in real time without needing the manager to be screaming at him from the half way line. I think it’s something we have really lacked over the last 5 or 6 seasons. Great players are clever and think about the game as a whole, not just their little bit of it.

Left sided centre back for England soon enough. Cracking player, worth every penny.  Wouldn't it be so great for him to score next Saturday?

I saw something on the BBC site earlier that compared actual transfer fees to some Moneyball type analytics valuation. Apparently we overpaid for Mings by around £5m according to somebody’s spreadsheet. My guess is that will be revised in aa few months.

I hadn't realised that Adrian Durham was that fat and that ugly.

Well, Durham's never wrong is he? We might as well give up.

Prick.

I don’t care what he said. I don’t mind Durham but he’s wrong here. And I expect him to admit it later this season. Mings will prove all of us 100% right to buy him and prove everyone else wrong to doubt him. Same goes for Jack.
