How does Ashley Barnes miss out but Jesse Lingard gets in?

Mixed feelings on his predicted England call up. Delighted for Tyrone but I also remember that as soon as Barry / Milner / Young etc became England regulars, they were quickly off to join a top 6 club. Really hope that doesn’t happen.

You can quote me on this later -  we will be a top 6 club by 2022.

Well done Mings. Hopefully Engels finds his way into the Belgium squad, too. They both deserve it.

Great about Tyrone, isn't it?

You know we're on our way back if any of us get picked for England...(Heaton in too)

What club does Jesse Lingard play for?

Wes Brown and Phil Jones have fifty caps between them! 🤣

I really wish we hadn’t over paid for him, as has been pointed out by so many supporters (of other clubs).

Hahahaha

I think Barnes plays for Austria.

He played for the U20’s a while back but recently his citizenship request was denied to play for the full side. So he’s eligible for England. Given his outstanding form you’d think he’d have picked.

Marvellous news and well done Tyrone, well deserved.

I think we are a different club now. In the past the likes of Southgate, Barry, Young etc got their heads turned when on England duty. A lack of ambition is generally quoted as the cause and this was certainly true during the Ellis years. However if you consider how we stood up to Spuds over Jack then you can’t accuse us of a lack of ambition. Villa are on the way back and I’m sure that before the end of the season some of his team mates will join him in the England squad.

We were a top 6 club when we had those three.

Thoroughly deserved call up. Well done Tyrone

That's probably cost us another million or two in add ons

Presumably if he plays, that'll be one of the triggers to give Bournemouth some more cash.
