Brilliant chase by Essex :). Didn't think they would get anywhere close.

Now all they need to do is avoid defeat v Somerset to clinch the double.

Brilliant day of cricket, well done to both Essex and Worcester for producing a fantastic spectacle.

Well done to Dom Sibley with his call up to the England Test squad. Really deserved. Not so good today for the Bears having lost the toss against Yorkshire who chalked up 261/2 at the close.
What's happened to Henry Brookes? Such a bright talent who has leaked a lot of runs for his wickets this season. Hopefully he'll get back to his best in 2020.

Looks like the title decider will be badly affected by the weather which is a shame. Somerset continue their role as nearly men.

Had a lot of injury problems, pretty common for a young quick.

They might look back on last week as the one that got away. 286 for 20 is rubbish.

Without a doubt. They are arch chokers and may well have lost/drawn the current match but it's a shame there's so little chance of a result because of rain. Maybe playing in autumn isn't the best idea.

It'll only get later when we try to make room for The wanky Hundred.

No play being possible in the final day between Durham and Glamorgan confirms the promotion of both Northants and Gloucestershire along with Lancashire.

Essex's Division One title is the only thing left to confirm, now.

Bit disappointed that the Somerset v Essex game has been ruined by the weather. Was set up to be a great climax to the domestic season (I say this as an Essex supporter).

Yes, it's a shame. Though I don't think Somerset would have won anyway, they blew it last week.

Maybe next year we could move the final game of the season to Dubai? 😁

Happy for Northants and Glos to go up as they've been down in Div 2 for a while and it means the Bears should comfortably stay up next season.
