Bears trying to make it look like a close game by the looks of it but massive credit to sibley and rhodes today, by all accounts it's not been an easy pitch to play on but they dug in and both got big 50s to put us in touching distance of the win.

Huge win for the Bears, particularly as Notts lost heavily. We are up to 6th now.

Excellent considering Norwell injured his hamstring and couldn't bowl. So many injuries still. Brookes is injured as well. Surprised the club has released Thomason, I thought he looked a real prospect. Strange decision, unless something went on behind the scenes?  Sussex have snapped him up.

It’s probably part of the deal that brought Burgess to Edgbaston.

Great win. It gives us a bit of breathing space.

Brookes may play for K&D this weekend, and Bell has been in the nets there this week.

Really good decision to release Thomason - he came in at number 10 today for Sussex and proceeded to score 90 off 115 balls including 11 fours and 4 sixes!

I was surprised that they released him but we are doing ok without him. He never played red ball cricket for the Bears.
