Hull have won last 6 on the bounce, so law of averages says Villa win, I'm going 3-2.

One team full of confidence, one team utterly devoid of any semblance of confidence or ideas, nailed on capitulation and Hull return the compliment and run out 3 - 0 winners to keep up our record of conceding three goals a game!

I'd be very surprised to see us beat 3-0 again.

November 1967 the one and only time Hull have beat us at Villa Park.

More people believe that we'll lose than win, which is extraordinary really.

Given the current form of both teams which has more to do with things than historic performances, it's not that odd really.

It demonstrates that people are expecting something unique and completely out of kilter with anything else in the past 101 years.

They're a poor side on a good run. See Bristol City. This league is mental for things like that.

We're utterly lopsided but I'm hopeful of a response as, 6 points from 6 games isn't good enough.

I think we're far more likely to put 3 on them myself. Looking forward to it as ever anyway.

My first live encounter with Villa and Villa Park was seeing us thrash Hull 6-0 in August 1974.
So began the longest love affair of my life.

If Hull are a poor side, what does that make us?

They've won 6 of the last 7 games, conceding only 5 goals,  including winning 2-0 at Leeds and putting six past Bolton.

What relevance does what happened in the last 101 years have to this fixture?

I don't get this misplaced arrogance.

Something unique and out of kilter happened just on Saturday when you look at previously Wigan's one win at home to us in their history.

I agree 6 weeks back and this would've been a comfortable win but it's all changed and I'm not expecting much more than another draw and slipping further off top 6.

It would be nice if this club could surprise us more often but it dosen't.
