Based on what Denly has said he’s going to be 4. I’d pretty wary of going in with 6 seamers.
There’s probably a case, but the weakness in batting means it’s unlikely. I personally think they should take the gloves off him and basically force him to focus on being a class top order bat. We need that more than a wicketkeeper.
Comments coming out from players about targeting and roughing up the sandpaper 3. Think it would be a mistake to try to really get into Smith and Warner. Both strike me as players who will raise their performance when the world is against them.
