If I remember we signed a keeper from Wolves in the Nigel Sims era.
I think Nigel was injured so we got this chap in.

John Russell (who else) wrote about him recently.

Crudgington, I think, signed a few days/weeks before Williams.
Although both made their debuts on the same day (Williams for the 1st team, Crudgington for the Midland Intermediate League for the youth team).
John Dunn got injured early in the season and Williams was signed on loan to cover.

Never heard of this guy before. Anyone know if he’s any good?

I read that he’s been capped at England U21 level.

Sounds impressive, but what does that really bring, other than he maybe has potential? You want to back the younger players as you’d think they would be more receptive/ adaptive to the system (hopefully the new system we are trying to figure out).

We shall see

That was Geoff Sidebottom we signed him in 1961, and he played later that year in the League Cup final against Rotherham.

from the little bit I've seen of him on youtube he looks strong and wins plenty in the air. Seems to be comfortable with the ball too.

The only player I can ever remember us signing from a rival was Adama Traore.

Welcome Kortney. Your task is simple. Just make us less shit at the back please.
Good luck on having a successful career at Villa Park and just remember your following in Gods footsteps on the hallowed turf at Villa Park.

Has anyone worked out whether he is injured or not? If he is, any word on when he will be available.

I appreciate that he might not be 'match fit' but if he is decent (and I have confidence in Smith) then I would prefer a quick and mobile Hause with Chester in his right position over Elphick, or Hutton or Bree or Jedi ...

I would also like to see Bree given a run of games at RB. UTV.
