Forest don't actually play in Nottingham, they play in West Bridgford. Therefore, they should only be referred to as Notts Forest, nothing else would be as accurate.

Which leads on to one of my favourite quiz questions. In 1997 what became unique about Notts/Nottingham Forest?

I don't know the answer to that but I believe the two Nottingham teams have the closest grounds to each other in the four professional English divisions. Apparently the only grounds closer to each other in the professional leagues of England and Scotland are those of Dundee and Dundee United.

Was it the first time a two time European Cup winning side got relegated?

Did the boundaries of the city change so they become the only team to play in a location outside of their name?

There have been loads of those over the yers, surely?

Manchester United and Grimsby Town being two of a few that spring immediately to mind.

Yeah. Bet Tranmere is one as well without checking.

I wouldn't have thought it's the answer but I remember reading somewhere that Meadow Lane is in the city of Nottingham but the City Ground is actually in the county of Nottinghamshire.

After the 1997 general election they were the only club with a Tory MP.

Blimey, is that right?

What about a team like Bournemouth?

Can't believe I'm checking these, but also - Macclesfield.  I only know that one because a lad who used to work me was the son of the MP.

They won the Conference that year.

Briefly gained independence in 1996. Or maybe the question was bollocks.
