Retro shirts
« on: January 06, 2019, 09:32:08 AM »
Not sure if this should go in here or Memories

What’s the depth or pride and joy of fellow H&Vers shirt collection?

Did manage to pick up this beauty on eBay for £10 8 years back, which I wear regularly:

Also have this which was very kindly donated to me by JD from here 10 years ago:

Been after the 1991 home for a while and a 1996 Yorke top is on the shopping list too.

Go on classic football shirts website. Every single one of them is on there to buy.

Of my original shirts the Yorke 1995-97 is the oldest one that still fits me fine. The ONeill era tops still get worn too. I do have the retro reproductions the club has produced in the last ten years or so. I still love the 92-93 one.

I have a 1990-92 home sitting around somewhere but it's bit tight now and never gets worn. Think it was an old XL.

I’d like that yellow Brazil-style top to be released as a proper Umbro retro reproduction.

If your 1990-92 home is in good condition then get it on eBay. They’re going for a decent amount of money.

I did mate, some top stuff on there and gets progressively cheaper more recently.

There’s probably a good side project in buying a load of Milner/Melberg/Carew/Laursen shirts and waiting 5 years!

I have every home/away/third since 1989, quite a few goalie ones too. What's nice is none have been brought retrospectively so the sizes correlate with the year. All bar this season and last season are in a suitcase in my mom and dads loft.

Only one missing (don't know why I never got it) is the white NTL shirt circa 2000/01
