Not sure when this meeting is taking place or if it’s already happened, but there is a report on twitter (I know, I know) that talks about the stadium being ‘rebranded’ in 2019 although it will retain Villa Park in the name.
Is there any truth in this and is it a done deal?

I’m not particularly upset at the thought, especially not after the precipice we were on in the summer, but it would be good to know if it’s going to happen.

Having read Der Spiegel articles on Man City, I think it's been known as Fortress* Villa Park for a long time, it's just that Wes Edens hasn't paid the bill yet. All £2bn of it.

Yeah, I'm quite proud of that one. Doesn't sound too bad does it, in the realms of giving up the name that is.

Are there any plans to increase the number of wheelchair spaces at Villa Park?

I remember reading a while ago we were supposed to be reconfiguring the seating in the Lower North to allow more wheelchair space but that obviously never happened.

It will not be considered until a return to the Premier League

The full minutes will be along shortly but it’s fair to say that Mr Purslow seemed genuinely alarmed by the feedback from Joanne the disabled supporter rep, & tasked someone to prepare a briefing for him on why its is as it is immediately (a range of stuff not just seating)
It doesn’t mean anything will necessarily happen quickly because Villa Park does present some logistical challenges in this area, but I had a strong sense that the will is there from him to get this right.

Did Mr Purslow come across well? He was cool at Dean's unveiling.

He does come across well but of course we have seen that before. He acknowledged that he will have to be judged by his actions because we have heard the words too many times, which in itself felt insightful & impressive.

He does seem well organised though. Good structural ideas and I was impressed several times in the meeting by his immediate tasking of individuals to sort, research, clarify or explore our concerns. You could actually see his management hand in action so it did immediately feel like more than ‘talk’.
