Stats don’t make great reading but a win is a win

Well what do you know, played a back 4 in the correct positions and a clean sheet.

Plenty of room for improvements, but nice to see us creating more chances than we normally do.

Saturdays are back!

All we had to do was win today and we did by keeping a clean sheet.  This could be massive in the context of the season.

This Facebook stream is like being on ketamine.
Hahaha! Are Villa FB streams a gateway to hard drugs?

Well happy with the win! UTV!!

I think Villa itself is a gateway to hard drugs.
I knew there had to be an upside somewhere along the line ;-)

Stats surprised me but thought chances were level. The quality of our chances was better though I thought.

Certainly not liquid football but much better off the ball. The defending from the front was noticeably better - kudos Tammy who never stopped working.

When we can work Bolasie and El Ghazi into the wide positions will look very dangerous.

Special mention to Nyland and Taylor who’ve got some stick recently but thought both were much improved; Nyland especially.

With 2 away games in six days coming up, it’s going to be very hard for Dean and his team to break us further out of Cabbage mode.
Hopefully we can take the impetus from this result into Tuesday night and maybe that has buoyed the defensive players somewhat!
Up the Villa

What a relief! I was a jibbering wreck during the second half waiting for the equaliser: it's what we've got used to after all!

Thank f*ck it never came: what does Villa do to me?

Food shop on the way home now: truly part of a rock and roll lifestyle...

Onwards and upwards!

John Terry. Just his presence forces clean sheets.

Come on you Villa boys

Haven't seen the stats, but did watch the game and saw us miss 3/4 sitters in the second half. Could easily of been 4-0 by 75 mins.

Onwards!

Very positive tonight - doesn't mean I expect us to go on and romp the league but I think in just 90 mins one can start to see how we were being held back by Bruce.

It won’t be long before it was the players fault for not playing for Bruce....
