Talking about Xmas fixtures, the most bunched up ones I can remember were in SGT's first season -  26th and 28th Dec, then bizarrely, 1st and 2nd Jan.

We went top on New Year’s Day with a 5-0 home win to Hull.  Happy days.

Is that when Morley was playing for Albion ?  I remember him at Villa Park wearing floodlit stripes and thinking he isn't very good anymore.

I loved having two games in two days.  Sod the winter break, they should bring that back.  Sort the men from the boys! :)

Hopefully they move the New Year's Day. Football has no place on Hangover Day.
Apart from the 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge 1990
Top ,top awayday,massive following,massive hangover.

I think both Tony Morley and Andy Gray played for Smethwick in both of the Villa/Albion games that season.

on a up to date note where are we up to with TV games.  Can Stoke or Leeds still be moved (pre Christmas homes in December)

They will announce the TV games for December 15th to January 12th next Friday (Nov 9th). They only have to give EFL teams 5 weeks notice.

I hope not, my Christmas is based on it.

Christmas in Birmingham without a game, don't go there.

100%

On that weekend on Sky Wolves v Liverpool is Friday night so that's out. Arsenal v Burnley 12:30 Sat so that's out.
Currently there's no Sky game at 5:30 on the Saturday or 1:30 on the Sunday. So we will be either of those against Leeds. Hopefully the Saturday.

Leeds will be half 5 Saturday I'd confidently suggest.
