One of the 30,000 couldn’t possibly do any worse.

That's the biggest thing now, he even admits it himself, if you listen all his "I'm convinced we'll be there or thereabouts bullshit" comes along with comments about the strength of the squad, not about how the training is helping or even that he can see them starting to do things they've been asked to work on, just that they're good players and eventually they'll work it out for themselves.

He really does want his cards though judging by tonight’s comments.  I mean expecting them to beat Bristol 3 or 4 nil has long since gone from our thoughts as an ambition steve.  Maybe a win nowadays?  With the occasional semblance of organisation?  You know something that pertains to evidence that we do actually work on a plan for the opposition?

Two years go it was Preston that did for RDM. We face the same opposition on Tuesday and a similar performance is more than likely.
The fact that we are no further forward should be to the managers shame but his recent comments would indicate that he couldn't care less.

I seriously wonder if he has completely lost the plot now.

I have been convinced of this, everything from bizarre team selections, rambling post match interviews, mixing up time periods and repetitive cliches.
I think the events of the last year have taken thier toll.
It’s sad in a way but he was never going to be the right man to rebuild this club but he is not even as effective as the Steve Bruce of the past.
