He's probably picking his defence based on David Hirst being upfront for Wednesday

Going to be interesting with Bannan and Onomah in their midfield (wouldn't surprise me if the latter scored). Another win I think which we'll make hard work of again.

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but for as long as I can remember the football league fixtures have been arranged in a way that does not have Villa and Albion both playing at home on the same day, but this has happened twice this week.  Seems odd.

Bruce said in this mornings press conference that Forestieri could be a big threat tomorrow. Forestieri is suspended!

We all know Bruce is a lazy manager but that’s so amateurish it’s embarrassing.

I saw this earlier and a friend of mine said I was being petty for being a little concerned about it. I don't know. To be honest, I think it's pretty embarrassing for a guy who big-ups himself about how many promotions he's won.

Problem is, you've got two days to actually game plan after a Tuesday nighter and you're preparing/basing your squad on a non-factor. Have some pride in your work for christs sake. Fail to prepare and prepare to fail.

He should know about Foresteri not playing. How can he plan for the game, if He doesn’t have a clue who the replacement will be. Particularly important in understanding how the opposition will line up in an attacking sense

Nyland

Hutton
Chester
Tuanzebe
Elmo

Connor
McGinn

Kodjia
Grealish
Bolasie

Tammy

This would be my selection too. I imagine Bruce will shoehorn Jedi in somewhere though.

I've a nagging doubt that Wednesday will make a few changes and be fresher, while we won't and our 442 won't be as effective against quite a nimble midfield in bannan and onomah

Well we've had an extra day to recover and prepare, Wednesday played midweek on the day of their name and were running the hard yards up to the final whistle at Nottingham Forest where they scored a late goal and then chased an equaliser.
Brucey probably mixed-up his Forests and his Forestieris.

My first visit to VP of the season.

Feel excited and hope to see a win if not a scintillating display of total football!

Former possibly, later no chance. I’m expecting normal tense/tedium with the best bit being the pre match pint

2-1 Villa. Abraham and Bolasie again for us. Someone other than Forestieri for them.

3-0 Villa, hoping we firm up the win the other night with a scintillating performance today.

C'mon you Villa boys.

Tricky one to call because its hard to predict which version of either side of will turn up.  But I think the win Tueday, some fresh faces and playing at home should give us the edge.  2-1 to Villa.  Tammy and Chester for us.

According to our manager he’ll be a danger man. Fucking idiot

Anyway we’ll scrape a win and our idiot manager will keep his job.
