Platt, Taylor and Kevin Richardson. Loved Garry Parker too.

Kevin Richardson was massively underrated. No frills but kept things ticking over in midfield excellently and we really missed him on the rare occasions he was out injured. He was the 'water carrier', and I mean that as a compliment because every good team needs a player good at that role. It is no coincidence that he won major trophies with Everton, Arsenal and Villa. I think he may also have been one of SGT's last signings for Watford.

I once saw Kevin Richardson on the Log Flume at Drayton Manor Park. He was certainly a water carrier that day.

I met Kevin Richardson three times. The first and third times were on the touchline for a very low key friendly at Witney Town in pre season 1991 and then in my local bar when I lived in Tenerife around 1995 and most of the Coventry squad were over there on a break as they had a blank FA Cup weekend (I asked where Big Ron was and Richardson said he was holed up in a Villa with his wife whilst the lads had a day off). It was Grand national day and the Coventry players were all having a bet with my mate who run a little bookies operation in the bar. On both of those occasions Richardson was a great bloke and really chatty. However, on the occasion I met him in between it was at Dwight Yorke's 21st birthday party (Yorke lived next door to my cousin in Shustoke at the time). The party was held at Villa Park and Richardson had had a few drinks and was getting arsey with the bar staff.

Another vote for Mortimer, Cowans and Platt.

I never took to Richardson, smug cheating twat. Even if I ignored how much I dislike him he still wouldn't make my top 10.

Cropley, he could have been so good but for Robertson.

Wasn't it Ally Brown as opposed to Ally Robertson?

Yes, it was Brown, the scumbag.

An honourable mention for Andy Townsend would only be fair.

I seem to recall a time when there was a chant of "Birchie Get The Beer In" at some away game or games.
