Brucey charms Tammy with his soft warm grandfatherly tones

Tammy said this in bruce and villa:
'Listen, I need you here'. He thinks here would be the best place for me to get goals and have fun and enjoy myself. I could tell by the phonecall that here was going to be a good place. He's a good manager and I would like to learn off him.

"With a team like Aston Villa I expect us to be the same to different teams, who I don't think are up to the level of Aston Villa. I believe Aston Villa can be one of those teams where we could have most of the ball and enjoy ourselves and play wonderful football. I believe this is a Premier League team."

Well hope he knows what he's in for !
Tammy can hopefully add a dimension so we can play the wonder football !!

Ridiculous, everyone knows we're weak at defensive midfield these days.

He's going to score plenty, he's always in the right position.
Great signing.

I think you’re right. The one two with Kodjia was one he probably should have finished but it shows that that they could form an effective partnership if the manager shows the conviction to play them both. Be interesting to see how we line up on Tuesday.

Rotherham offer him an opportunity to show we can play on the front foot and unleash the talent we have in the last third. One up front against them and I give up.

It depends what you mean. A proper front three would be good. That's still one central striker. Almost all teams play with one central striker (including wolves Fulham and Leeds who we should be emulating according to most)

To me he looked like possibly the worse choice of forward to play in Bruce's system, I suppose he might pick up goals from scraps in the box but if you're gonna play Kodjia ball, at least have Kodjia playing. Felt sorry for him.

He really did. His comments above about the sort of football he hopes we'll playz juxtaposed to chasing all those hoofs upfield . . .

Needs to be playing with someone upfront imo. Scores lots of scrappy goals in the box from knockdowns/passes. looks at his time with bristol city. goals from his head 2 out of 26. only one a cross.
