After his half arsed performance at Wigan and against Hull am glad to see the back of him to be honest .The Everton fans i talk to dont think much of him either.Hopefully the money we save on him will help bring in a couple of new players

This has surprised me although I imagine finances have also played a part and we can get better value from cheaper loan or permanent signing.

Would've sent El Ghazi back instead personally.

thatcherlover on twitter who has been accurate before on signings etc but is staring to become a DS out man has stated that Elphick, Steer and Green going out on loan was to free up the cash for Bolasie's wages so back to square one really now he's gone and they are all back so £70k pw isn't really back in the kitty?

Not a chance that those 3 are on dnywhere near 70k between them. I doubt its even half of that.

That would seem to be overly coincidental to me.

Glad he's gone, I got sucked in by him at the start but quickly realised we were paying way to much for loads of step overs and the occasional trick, looks like Andre Green was brought back in readiness for Bolasie leaving, at least Andre gives a shit.

Bolasie has lost a yard of pace, no where near the player he was at Palace. He simply can't cut it anymore - not even in the Championship let alone the Premier League!

Maybe we were only ever paying half of Bolasie's wages in which case £35k a week for those three sounds plausible.

Think I read Elphick was on 30k when he joined. Didn't Green get a new contract a while back although doubt he'll be on a huge amount, same for Steer.

The nice bit of skill he did against Leeds where he skinned two of their players summed him up perfectly.  Capable of beating a man or two, but not capable often enough to do something productive with the ball once he had.

Disastrous signing from Bruce. We certainly needed pace at the top of the pitch but Bolasie was miles behind in terms of fitness from day one. Did he even complete 90 mins once for us? There were flashes of quality at times, he had a decent game v West Brom but little or nothing since. Never saw anything from him to suggest he was keen to get his career back on track, polar opposite of Snodgrass.

Bolasie was just another aimless punt by a useless manager.

For what it’s worth, Yannick seems like a decent chap. Not what Villa need at all, however.

The feeling on the Everton boards.
