I thought he was a headless chicken today.  His decision making and final balls were dreadful.

There was no one making the run. What else was he supposed to do?

At times you have to wonder if anyone, including Bolasie, has a clue what he is doing.

He's absolutely wasted playing on the left. I know it's to accomodate El Gahzi on the right but even when he went off,  Smith still didn't change it. The one time Bolasie drifted out to the right, he puts the cross in for Kodjia's goal.

One who’s just standing there behind a Stoke player?

Bolasie was integral at two moments of quality; the excellent move where he should have hit the target and yet another inch perfect cross for the 2nd equaliser.

Agreed. He is the kind of player that will constantly try things and when they don't come off looks a bit silly. He definitely missed Jack floating around in the inside left channel to use to drag players away and to thread him the ball when he ran inside the full back. With Hutton not a natural left back I don't think he overlapped at all yesterday which Bolasie could have done with to create a bit of extra space. Was often faced with two/three defenders square on to him and then the only option was to try to beat the man - which doesn't always come off.

We saw his quality for Kodjia's goal - he'll always make assist contributions at this level. A combination of factors (and a decent Stoke side) meant he was less effective and less pleasing on the eye yesterday, but I'd expect him to shred the inexperienced Leeds defence next weekend.

Why would you disregard his strengths?

It's fairly obvious why he gets favourable coverage - he's an exciting player who gets assists and goals.

But that's you taking his strength, pace, ability to cross and beat a player into account. Take those away then have a moment to reflect on why he gets favourable coverage. I bet you get a different answer then  :o

I like Bolasie a lot, and he's an exciting player to watch, but think he's been poor the last two games.

Yep, same here. What I didn't like was his constant moaning at team mates. There's a noticeable feelgood factor around the club now so hopefully that was a one off yesterday.

You're right, I'm sorry. When taking away all the many things he's good at, mostly the things you would ask of a winger, he's not very good and it's baffling why people like him.

On a serious note, good to see him lasting full games now - clearly back to full fitness.

Agree with risso he didn’t impress me much yesterday. Wasteful with the chances which, in fairness, he created. He does sometimes looks like he finds it easy to get into great positions then doesn’t know what to when he’s there.
