Matchday travel updates
« on: August 25, 2018, 11:03:44 AM »
Anyone going to Villa today from north of Walsall or coming from the m54.

M6 j10 is closed both ways and I don’t think it’s due to open in time for match traffic.
Safe journey all.

COME ON YOU LIONS 🦁

We may as well have this as a permanent feature for matchdays. Please stick to news of traffic/rail delays, junction closures and the like.

My train just left Moor St for Leamington about 20 mins late. Issues with signals around Tysely and possibly a trespasser around JQ apparently so both sides of town affected. Not ground to a complete halt but delays and they soon escalate this time of night as trains get stuck in the wrong place.
Good luck to all those going.

So the Albion match is now policed like Blues. Albion to use Witton station. I bet a fair few will be using the Smethwick to Aston option. What then?

For those going tonight, just noticed M1 southbound closed just north of Rotherham - hoping it will be open later for the journey home but worth keeping an eye on

Parking restrictions at King Edwards

Building works are starting at King Edwards over Easter. For the last two home games of the season against Millwall and Norwich, and for all of next season, parking will be limited to permit holders only. The normal access gate on Upper Thomas St will be closed and there will be no option to pay on the gate

M54 Eastbound Closed

For anyone travelling to the semi-final first leg from Shropshire / North Wales be aware that the M54 eastbound between junctions 3 and 2 is closed all weekend from 8pm this evening (until 6am on Monday) for resurfacing work. Diversions are via the A41, A5 and A449, to rejoin the M54 at junction 2.
