His blind spot of picking too many players out of position in defence could be his downfall.

Not yet. First,  because it's daft to let him sign new players and not let him play them. Second, wait until someone who knows what they're doing is here to bring in a replacement.

I like this idea. 'Ask Woodhall'. A reboot of the old 'Ask Aspel'.

"For most of the time we’ve done just enough to win, or else just fallen short."

This is very astute and I think why a lot of people don't think Bruce is good enough.  The margins are almost always very fine between winning or drawing/losing for us to be consistent enough to get top 2.  And it seems to be more a matter of luck than judgement as to which way it goes.

Regarding playing the match on the Wednesday, it was always going to be on that day, live match or not, as Brentford played on the Sunday.

Looking at the mid week fixtures in the Championship for the rest of the year, whereas previously almost all the matches were played on the Tuesday, now there are as many as 5 fixtures on the Wednesday. I read somewhere this is due to Sky now showing every midweek Championship game live and they wanted a more even split.

Re the rest of 2018 our next 3 mid week games are on a Tuesday and final one is Forest at home , which has been moved to  Wednesday, as we are playing Blues on the Sunday. I prefer to play on the Tuesday as it is the nearest to have way through the week, from Saturday to Saturday.

I,m disappointed with the last two results but go back a couple of months and I never expected us to be in this position now when you look at the mess we were in. It will take time and changes but I do think things might be on the up for us in the long term.
