If ever there is an example of someone born in the wrong country.  Definitely not the most intelligent but superbly  coached for media and publicity purposes.

But why do you think he was born in the wrong country? I think he’s perfect for vacuous, selfie and brand obsessed Great Britain.

I enjoyed the James Corden statue prank. Beckham seems a decent bloke and he is clearly media and business savvy (or at least smart enough to surround himself by the right advisors). Four years at Real Madrid and he still couldn't speak Spanish though.

The only way I could enjoy that is if Corden came face to face with A gorgon and then someone took a sledgehammer to him.

Gorgons have rights too.

Beckham's Inter Miami play in their Major League debut on SKY on Sunday night against LA FC. Inter Milan have kicked up a fuss about "their name" being used. Despite the fact their name is Internazionale Milano and are known world wide as Internazionale apart from in Britain which is pretty much the only place they are regularly known as Inter or Inter Milan.

I thought the MLS was divided into East and Western conferences, so how come Miami are playing LA?

From Wiki...

Major League Soccer's regular season runs from March (or late February) to October. Teams are geographically divided into the Eastern and Western Conferences, playing 34 games in an unbalanced schedule. With 26 teams in 2020, each team plays two games (home and away) against teams in its conference and one game against 10 out of the 13 teams in the opposite conference. The 2020 season is the first season in league history in which teams will not play against every other team in the league; each team does not play against 3 teams from the opposite conference.

Sorry, Damo, but that sounded dangerously like sarcasm.
