Ross McCormack learning how to run fast from team mate Usain Bolt and Gary Gardner consistently performing as one of the best midfielders in our league...strange days indeed.

Updates please.

Anybody able to offer a full list of who we have where, and who do we think might - after some actual proper coaching - prove their worth here?

Central Coast Mariners loan star Ross McCormack has flown back to the UK after failing to shake off an injury, according to the Australian club.

“We’ve decided to send Ross back to Aston Villa to check in with a specialist," coach Mike Mulvey said today.

"We expect him back just before Christmas and the best situation we can see at this stage would be having Ross eligible for selection for our New Year’s Eve game against Perth Glory."

RDL currently live on BT Sport in the Melbourne derby.

Playing quite well.

Of all the players sent out on loan, he’s the one I’m most disappointed not seeing at Villa

One of the unanimously (I think) positive aspects of the transfer window was the number of young players we've sent out on loan. It seems the club has recognised that one of our many failings over the last decade or so, as been a reluctance to get our players some 'real' football experience; which then lead to them being woefully under-prepared for stepping up into our first team. Jack clearly benefited from his year at Notts County, so I really hope a few this generation can gain enough over the next few months to feature for us next season.

By my reckoning, the following players at all currently out on loan:

Ritchie de Laet at Melbourne C - Very strange one, this, but I doubt we'll see him again.

Frederic Guilbert at Caen - I don't know much about him, but seems to be thought of pretty highly in France. Shame he couldn't start right away, but I like the fact we're building for next year already.

Mitchell Clark at Port Vale - Doing well by all accounts; half expected him to be recalled. Would really fancy him to be part of our squad next year

James Bree at Ipswich - He needs games. Another strange signing, that Bruce never really seemed to trust. Hopefully he can show something in a desperately poor Ipswich side.

Callum O'Hare at Carlisle - Could be make or break for him; he clearly is talented, but needs to bulk up and get used to the physical side. If he comes good, he could save us a fortune int the summer...

Aaron Tshibola at Kilmarnock - Seems to be doing alright, but another one that I don't think we'll see again.

Jake Doyle-Hayes at Cambridge U - A very talented passer of the ball, really hope he does well and can kick on. One to watch, for sure.

Corey Taylor at Walsall - I don't know a huge amount about him,  but I think he's got pace. Will be playing at a higher level than a lot of his generation, so another to look out for.

Harry McKirdy at Newport Co - Strikes me as a very intelligent second striker, but haven't seen much of him. Has been on loan as couple of times before, and has scored goals. Never got near the first team though.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy at Cambridge U - Been highly rated for years, it seems. Now is his chance to prove why. A huge few months for him, really hope he takes this chance.

Scott Hogan at Sheff Utd - Hopefully he can help take points off our playoff rivals, and increase his value. Think that's the best we can hope for.

Ross McCormack at Motherwell - *shrugs* Maybe they'll want to keep him? Or at least loan him again next season.

I may have missed a couple, but I think that is the main ones. I'm going to try to follow the youngsters as much as possible, but if anyone gets any updates, would be good to hear how they're all doing.

12 out on loan while not up to Chelsea type levels is still some going. Hopefully most (not you Ross) will be watched regularly as I think it will be make or break - return and join the first team squad or leave altogether.

So are they all getting game time?

I had a quick look

Bree - I see played the whole game

Taylor  - came on for Walsall on 67 mins

All the others either games called off due to weather or not chosen in starting 11 or bench

And Scott Hogan has replaced our bench for someone elses

I was talking to someone at the top at Carlisle. He gushed about our Callum, saying how good on the ball he is, how he always looked to pass forward and how he could stand up for himself despite his size. He clearly admired him greatly and said he was MoM last week.

I asked him to look after Callum for us, of course!
