Didn’t the Bristol manager get his arse in his hand when we thumped them 5-0 over Christmas and serenaded them with the obligatory big day our chants?

Maybe they can join the Geordies and form a precious collective??

He did.

He was a bit of a child about it "let's see where we finish at the end of the season...".

Below us mate.

Bristol City seem to have followed the Newcastle route of inventing a rivalry which only exists to them.

I was in China for 2009-2012 but didn't we invent the Newcastle rivalry with the banners?

The rivalry was invented by the two local papers telling their supporters that they'd been offended and ours that we'd offended them.

Anyway...Fulham, good luck to them I think they've bought a lot of quality but will have to integrate it to a team, apart from the cnetre half who's been there years they have a whole new defence.  Because I buy neutral end tickets I'm on their e-mail list and have been bombarded all week, including today, saying there are only a few tickets left for their big return to the PL tomorrow - so a local derby when they've been out of the top flight for a while and they haven't sold out.

Can't blame Bryan though at all.

That whole thing was overplayed anyway. Any team - any team - who had the "honour" of sending the Jawdies down would have done the same thing. It just happened to be us that did it. I'm not saying the Newcastle fans should live and let live, but it was an accident of timing. I guess most football rivalries are based on perceived slights though.

I see he started today and was substituted, don't know if it was injury related or not.

I would have thought it was them chasing the game at 2-0 down probably, but if he is injured, I just hope it's nothing minor serious.

He was injured.

I'd say starting for Fulham today justifies things although of course I didn't like him agreeing to sign for us and then changing his mind.

Still I'd imagine we've signed players in those circumstances in the past.

I heard reality caught him studs up and he went down clutching his conscience.
