Wondering if Bruce is looking at option as 3-5-2 and using him as centre back . Like a Kyle walker but left side .

Pity Alan Wright is no longer playing, he could have filled that role. Joe Bryan is 5 foot 7.

Could we not have part-ex'd him with Neil? He'd be closer to Wales too.

Probably would have pushed the price up

Ayew was top scorer for Swansea last year -not saying a fat lot as they were rubbish obv.

But the mid season revival they enjoyed was due in large part to him.  Swansea are holding out for £10 million for him, so -at the price we gave him away for- it looked like shite business at the time and still looks shite business.

He is becoming something of a Jonah though. So hopefully he can find his way to WHL by the close of business tomorrow.

I think people forget Taylor was perfectly decent and reliable when he first came. He's not even that bad now.

He (Taylor) was average to start and went downhill from there.

Oh come off it, he's absolutely fucking awful.  He's even worse than Cissokho, and that's saying something.

He didn't cost much though, as I think the deal we did with Swansea was £5m and Taylor for Ayew, but he's still utterly shit.  Hopefully when we complete on the Bristol City lad we'll never have to see him play for us again.  We'll then have Bryan and Hutton to cover.

He was rubbish when he arrived, and has been rubbish since he has been here.

His reputation is based on four or five competent matches for Wales at Euro 2016 when he had three decent centre backs to cover his defending and Gareth Bale ahead of him so he didn't have to do any attacking.

It was something like £5m and Taylor for Ayew. Ayew is a pretty mediocre player that flatters to deceive as he has zero consistency, he'll have the odd good spell but ultimately doesn't even average 6 league goals a season and is yet to have a full season with a club in this country that doesn't end in relegation.

When you think of some of our left backs of the last decade and that he stands out as poor in comparison, even though he's been playing for us in a division below the others - I think that tells it's own story.

I feel we've had more out of Taylor than we ever got from Ayew.

Taylor's certainly contributed to more goals than Ayew ever did...

Medical was completed 5 hours ago, so don't know why Villa have not yet confirmed the transfer has taken place.

Very good question. Part of me thinks both Bryan & McGinn hinge on whether or not Grealish deal is agreed.
